This Intruder/ Swing Leech style fly started its origins in my fly box in the late 1990's. It was originally designed to be fished down steam on or near the bottom for the big migratory Brown Trout that swam the Tongariro each late Summer/ Autumn. A big Marabou style this fly with loads of action! It has taken fish from Canada to USA, to my home waters...
Bev's variation on the classic 'Temple Dog' Salmon Fly. This fly has got me through some tough times. A fly I will fall back on when the fishing has been hard. A confidence fly. Built with a shoulder of Arctic Fox and the right amount of flash. A must for all serious 'Swingers'.
This is a baitfish style fly that has tons of movement and internal flash. Originally tied for fishing the lower Tuki Tuki River,Hawke's Bay, NZ, this fly has taken Sea-runs to Winter spawners throughout NZ. When swung with additional jerk/ strips this has a real 'Im injured, come eat me' look.
