There are several payment options available.  We accept Mastercard and Visa card payments online, or you can choose to pay by direct debit.  If collecting from our shop you can also pay by cash.  

Direct Debit

(or Pick-up in store)
If you wish to pay by direct debit, please deposit into our Bank:

Direct credit's will usually show in our account the following day, except on weekends when payments will not show till the following Tuesday. Please add your name as the reference for the deposit so we can confirm the payment is for your order.

Credit Card

Payment by Visa or Mastercard is offered on all items, and is both quick and easy through our online payment system, eWAY Rapid 3.0.
We use BNZ and eWay to accept Visa or Mastercard payments. All payments are in New Zealand dollars. Taupo Rod and Tackle is a NZ owned and operated business, and the name Taupo Rod and Tackle will appear on your cardholder statements for any transactions made through this website.


We accept cash as payment for pickups only. Please do not send cash in the mail.  If you wish to pay when collecting your items in store, please select the "Direct Debit" payment option, and the "Pick-up In Store" option when selecting delivery methods.

Delivery / Shipping Information

Shipping Companies

Most items have several shipping options. Small items can be sent by Parcel Post to home or PO Box addresses. This is also the best option for Rural Delivery. Small items can also be sent by Fastway Courier to residential or business addresses, but NOT to a PO Box. Large itemscan only be sent by Fastway Courier. These can be sent to all addresses except PO Boxes.
All items can also be collected from our shop at 7 Tongariro St, Taupo, during regular business hours. You can choose your preferred shipping option during checkout.

  • Parcel Post: Small items only, all addresses including Rural & PO Boxes
  • Fastway Courier: All items including large items, all addresses including Rural but NOT PO Boxes. 
  • Pick-up In Store: During regular business hours at 7 Tongariro Street, Taupo

Rural Delivery

All Rural Deliveries shipped by Fastway Couriers incur extra fees.  If you choose the Fastway shipping option and you live at a rural address, you must select the "Fastway Rural Delivery" option.  Orders will not be shipped until correct shipping fees have been paid.

Combined Shipping

We can combine orders to save on shipping costs. Please email us if you are unsure of the cost.

Delivery Times

We endeavour to send your parcel out as soon as possible after receiving payment. If you pay by credit card before 12pm we will endeavour to send your parcel out that day also. Our couriers are 2 day services to all main centres in the North Island, and for the South Island are 3-4 days (Please note these times are estimates only). For rural deliveries, please allow an extra 2-4 days above the normal delivery time. For P.O. Box deliveries, we use Parcel Post. Please allow up to 5 days for Parcel Post deliveries. Note, not all items can be sent to P.O. Boxes.

Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are calculated automatically at check out, but as a guide:

  • Parcel Post (Small items such as fly lines or smaller): $4.50 NZ wide.
  • Fastway (Small items): $4.50 
  • Fastway (Large items): $7.00
  • Fastway (Large items - Rural delivery): $12.00

We will combine shipping for multiple items. If not sure, please contact us.

International Orders

We are happy to accept international orders. Please contact us for a quote on international shipping fees.

Back Orders

If an item in your order is out of stock, it may be placed on back order.  (NB Not all products can be back ordered.  We only allow back orders for items we know we can re-order quickly).  
You will be notified if any items in your order are placed on back order.  If these items will be available in under 5 days, we will hold your order until all items are ready to be shipped.  If it will take more than 5 days to source the back ordered items, we will send part of your order immediately, and the back ordered items will be sent separately when they become available.  In this case, we will pay the shipping costs.  You can contact us if you wish to remove any back ordered items from your order.
